What we love about Tom:
Tom Stone has specialised in the corporate travel industry for over 30 years. Commencing his travel career as a business travel agent looking after the music and entertainment industries, Tom crossed over to his first travel management role with Sony Music Entertainment in 1988.
In 1996 Tom joined pharmaceutical giant SmithKline Beecham as its global travel manager and successfully implemented leading edge initiatives including the global consolidation of the TMC network and pioneering leading programme initiatives of the day such as the introduction of corporate net and fixed fares with British Airways.
Tom continued his purchasing experience with senior posts at the drinks group Seagram and Universal Music Group, then in 2003 left Universal Music to set up Sirius Travel Sourcing.
Tom is involved in travel industry development and is regularly invited to speak at industry conferences and forums.
Tom has also represented the industry in discussions with the EU and the International Air Transport Association. He has served two terms on the Association of Corporate Travel Executive’s Board of Governors and is a past Chairman of the Institute of Travel Management, the UK travel buyers association.
