What we love about Chris:
Chris Crowley began his travel life graduating from University of Kent with Law & Languages before joining Albert Roux’s innovative team at 47 Park Street Hotel in London in the early 1990s. After progressing through hotel management training Chris joined the commercial team promoting the new townhouse hotel concept that later became Demeure Hotels (sold by Generale des Eaux to ACCOR in 1999). In 1996 Chris joined Entertainment specialist The Appointment Group, acting as global hotel lead, contracting hotels for tours, entertainment corporate programs and events such as the MTV Music Awards.
Chris returned to the hotel environment via Grange Hotels and then ACCOR in 2000. In 2000 he launched the Sofitel global corporate program with the opening of more than 50 hotels by 2003.
Leaving ACCOR he took on franchise roles at Radisson and Concorde Hotels; including the preparation and contracting of the eventual sale of Concorde to Meridien in 2005.
Chris joined The Travel Company as Commercial Lead in 2005 in time to participate in the creation of BCD Travel, currently the world’s third largest TMC and current partner of UMG. Roles in global sales, marketing, global client management and regional board positions followed in a 12 year career at BCD.
Chris left BCD to pursue his Nina & Pinta business in late 2017 and his first engagement was with HRS Group the world’s leading hotel technology specialist from 2018 – 2019. During this time Chris established a networked of Managing Directors and Sales Leaders; creating self-functioning legal entities in 28 markets.
Chris spent 3 years as ACTE (Association of Corporate Travel Executives) President in an 8 year period on the ACTE Board (2004-2006, 2009-2014). In 2016 He joined the ITM Board (Institute of Travel Management) in the UK and continues to serve along with industry leaders and peers.
